Frazer-Nash Consultancy was awarded the ‘Employer of the Year’ prize at the Maritime UK Awards, held at the Glasgow Science Centre on 10 March.
The awards recognise the very best of the UK’s maritime sector. They are awarded to individuals and businesses, charities, colleges and universities, for achievements across a range of areas, including business growth, innovation, sustainability and diversity.
Celebrating the win, Frazer-Nash People Director, Sam Geis, said:

The award was presented by event host, RTS Scotland award-winning broadcaster, Jennifer Reoch and accepted by Frazer-Nash’s HR Business Partner and Wellbeing Champion, Val Hardie, pictured below, and Group Business Manager for Ships and Weapons, Paul Havron.
Frazer-Nash Chief Operating Officer, Rupert Bridges described the Frazer-Nash commitments to its people’s happiness that saw it recognised with the award:
“This award recognises the approach we took to living our values, and especially our value ‘we care’, during the pandemic. As part of our commitment to our people’s wellbeing we undertook a calendar of events to support them, underpinned by the five wellbeing pillars: emotional, financial, social, physical and personal. These were really well-received, and our teams shared lots of positive feedback and experiences with us.
“One of our goals was that, in ensuring our people had the best support they could get, they could continue to be engaged and motivated, helping us to make a difference to the world by delivering their outstanding skills and expertise to our clients’ projects and programmes.”
The award ceremony featured a keynote address from the International Trade Secretary, the Rt Hon Anne-Marie Trevelyan MP and also included the presentation of the Department for Transport’s Clean Maritime Awards.
