Frazer-Nash Consultancy has been shortlisted for four awards in the Energy Innovation Centre’s (EIC’s) Energy Innovation Awards.

Frazer-Nash Consultancy has been shortlisted for four awards in the Energy Innovation Centre’s (EIC’s) Energy Innovation Awards.

Two of the awards relate to the recent customer safeguarding project undertaken by Frazer-Nash Consultancy for Cadent Gas, delivering an app that puts essential safeguarding data at engineers’ fingertips which is helping to support customers in vulnerable situations. The app features in the ‘Best Digital Innovation’, and ‘Customer Focus’ categories, while Frazer-Nash Senior Engineer, Megan Smith, who was instrumental in the app’s design, has been shortlisted for ‘Young Innovator of the Year’.

Frazer-Nash is also among the finalists for the ‘Innovator of the Year’ category, which recognises a company or individual who works in partnership with energy networks to drive innovative ideas into business as usual.

Celebrating the shortlisting, Frazer-Nash Energy Resources Business Manager, Andrew Ross, said:

“It’s really exciting that we have been selected for the shortlist of the EIC’s prestigious awards, including for our welfare decision tool app which enables Cadent engineers – who often encounter customers who could benefit from additional welfare support – to tailor products and services for customers in vulnerable situations.

“I’m particularly pleased that we’ve made the shortlist for Innovator of the Year, and that Megan has been shortlisted as Young Innovator of the Year. The latter category recognises those who have developed new ideas or ways of doing things, and demonstrate tenacity and enthusiasm – qualities that Megan brings to all the projects in which she’s involved.”

Taking place on 3 March 2022, at the Titanic Hotel, Liverpool, the Energy Innovation Awards celebrate the latest and greatest technologies that are helping to transform our energy future. Alongside the four categories above, there will be eight further awards on the evening, including the Net Zero Impact Award, and the ‘Future Energy System’ award for prototype or idea with the greatest potential for impact.
