The Energy Innovation Centre’s (EIC’s) Innovation Showcase and awards, which include four nominations for Frazer-Nash Consultancy, will take place on 5 May in Liverpool.
The awards, which showcase and celebrate the latest and greatest innovations in energy, were formerly known as the EIC Innovation Awards, but have been renamed to recognise the inclusion of the pre-award Innovation Safari networking event. Frazer-Nash has been shortlisted for four awards, including a nomination for Senior Engineer, Megan Smith, as ‘Young Innovator of the Year’.
The awards recognise the recent project undertaken by Frazer-Nash for Cadent Gas, delivering an application to put essential customer safeguarding data at engineers’ fingertips. The welfare decision tool app enables Cadent engineers – who often encounter customers who could benefit from additional welfare support – to tailor products and services for customers in vulnerable situations.
The app is shortlisted in the ‘Best Digital Innovation’, and ‘Customer Focus’ categories, and the company is also named among the finalists for the ‘Innovator of the Year’ category, which recognises a company or individual who works in partnership with energy networks to drive innovative ideas into business as usual. The Young Innovator of the Year category, for which Megan is a finalist, recognises those who have developed new ideas or ways of doing things, and who demonstrate tenacity and enthusiasm.
Alongside the four categories above, there will be eight further awards on the evening, including the Net Zero Impact Award, and the ‘Future Energy System’ award for prototype or idea with the greatest potential for impact. Read more about the awards at https://ukeiawards.com/.
